A Balanced Preschool Program
Teacher-directed instruction following a written curriculum is balanced with three stimulating developmentally appropriate learning centers, where children learn through play and exploration. Pope John XXIII's Preschool is a child-centered, Catholic environment in which your child will gain social skills and build a high level of self-esteem. Our preschool offers a wide range of three and four year old full day and half-day programs. We teach the whole child with emphasis on the spiritual, physical, mental, social and emotional growth of each child through the importance of play. Your child will learn how to interact with others and build strong motor, math and language skills. Your child will grow spiritually and discover how he or she is a special part of God's family. Our religion program, Sadlier, introduces weekly themes that are enhanced by tactile experiences, songs, prayers and art projects. Parents are a child's first and most important teacher. Our religion program invites parents to become partners in their child's faith development. Weekly letters will inform parents of the theme, activities done in school, special prayers or poems, and will suggest follow-up activities for time at home.
Enriching field trips, special classroom visitors, and assemblies will ignite your child's understanding of the world outside the classroom. A Pope John XXIII student will be a "big brother" or "big sister" (a PJ Pal) to your child as he or she takes those first rewarding steps toward an outstanding educational experience. Pope John XXIII Preschool will foster your child's self-esteem and love for learning.
